For thousands of years eastern doctors have practiced the science of acupuncture , but occasionally they got it wrong and their patients suffered temporary paralysis or they passed out or worse. So all these adverse reactions were recorded to prevent similar mistakes. This was of great interest to warriors and soldiers who wanted to improve their combat skills and this became their bible. Basically their are twelve main meridians ,energy pathways in the body, if energy flow is disrupted or blocked we feel pain . These twelve meridians fall into five groups ,they are fire metal wood earth and water . To be continued.

A pressure point only occupies around a 6mm area and so they are not too easy to find. These points will normally be protected by some muscles and so to hit the point we need to push the muscle aside. We can then apply direct pressure onto the nerve and bone, this is where we get the pain!

Fire meridians are allergic to metal meridians ,and metal meridians penetrate wood meridians, wood attack earth meridians and earth react with water meridians. This is called the destructive cycle , an example would be attack the fire and metal in the arms then strike the wood points in the neck . Once you understand this basic formula , the moves in your patterns start to make sense . A good acupuncture chart the bigger the better is a great aid , it wont tell you what meridians go in which group, you need to come to the club so we can explain it better.
